![]() All in all Tales from the Borderlands was an absolute delight to witness, so much so I cannot wait until Borderlands 3 is released on this generation of consoles.Īs for the story – overall it’s mediocre at best. Animations also seemed to improve throughout each episode, with the last episode even going so far as to have an all out battle between your heroes and the crazy Vault monster. The presentation does wonders given the events that unfold in each of the episodes, with many characters being on display at once, and even large vistas that play to the cel-shading aesthetic even more. The cel-shading looks tremendous, even going so far as to make the world look more distinctive than before, making it look weirdly realistic as opposed to cartoony. Everything is crisp and sharp, with each character looking splendid. Here’s my thoughts.Īs I said in previous reviews of the episodes, Telltale have done a fantastic job in the presentation department for Tales from the Borderlands. So, getting some cups of tea ready and proceeding to hanker down, I decided to complete the remaining game within one sitting. Looking through my list of games that I’m still yet to play, Tales from the Borderlands stood out as a game I actually wanted to see the ending of, despite it’s bastarding ability to delete my saves. Until this last weekend that is, where I was meant to finally sit down and play FFXV, but decided to play a shorter game so that I could at least finish it before the weekend was over. For the last 2 years I’ve proceeded to ignore the game even existed, Let alone see it through to its conclusion. Whilst some would say “Just select the third chapter and let the game randomise it for you!”, I felt this was horrendous – the whole point of a telltale game is to see the consequences and results of your actions, something that would feel contrived and wrong should I not have made those decisions myself.Īlas, I gave up. The issue is, the game completely forgot that I had completed the second chapter, meaning it had lost all of my choices and decisions. ![]() As a Borderlands fan, I couldn’t wait to see Telltale’s take on the series, especially given how much I loved other franchises Telltale took on. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide me with.As some of you may be aware, I started Tales from the Borderlands just over 2 years ago when the game was first released. Please help me people! I really wanted to play this game before B元 comes out. I also can't rename the empty save files in the menu There is only an empty folder named "NET" in there One thing worth mentioning is that there are no save files being generated in my Documents/Telltale Games/Tales From The Borderlands folder. If I press no I lose ALL of my progress too. If I press yes it asks me to put in my telltale Games account credentials, but when I do so it shows an error and I lose ALL my progress. When I finish an episode the menu asks me if I want to update my decisions. Whenever I finish a chapter or an episode NOTHING gets saved Variant #2 without the old save file in place: If I don't shut down the game and instead try to start episode #3 it will tell me that decisions from "unfinished episodes" will be automatically generated, which indicates that my decisions from episode #2 are not being saved/taken into account (one thing worth mentioning is that the game won't do this if I (re)start episode #2) The save file shows no signs of being updated and when I shut down and restart the game all the progress in episode #2 is gone At this point there are two new problems: It will only show me the decisions I made in episode #1 Whenever I finish episode #2 the progress seems to be saved, but when I try to access "My decisions" in the menu I can't look into the decisions from episode #2. ![]() 2017 (I also can't delete the file from inside the game – when I press delete the game and sound glitch out for a short moment and nothing happens – it has to be deleted outside) It won't overwrite with my new progress and the save file is stuck with the progress (only finished ep. 2017, which I still keep for testing, is corrupt ![]() It seems like the one save file from Sep. I am running into several problems when trying to solve the problem. I tried everything from validating the integrity of the game files to deleting all save and config files with the game alltogether and reinstalling it. First things first: I know that telltale has shut down all their services due to the closure of the company. ![]()
